I’ve had some mornings when I wake up and feel like I dreamt about Casey, like she is on my mind, but I cannot remember exactly what the dream was. These are parts that I remember from dreams I had recently.
The first, I was in an empty theater going to leave and Casey came up to me and said, “Hey, have you seen my purse?” and I showed her a small bag that I didn’t recognize but was somehow in my hand. She said, “No, not that one, my green one.” I told her something like, “Oh no, I don’t know where that is…” Then Casey disappeared and her Aunt Janice came up to me and asked, “Have you seen Casey or her bag?” and I said something like, “No, I don’t know where Casey is but I think I have her bag back at home.” That’s all I can remember, but I woke up in the morning and was scared something happened to her purse (Dianne gave me Casey’s green bag), but it was still there.
The second was more of a nightmare but I didn’t see Casey directly… I was in class with Marie and saw someone outside our window and panicked and grabbed her and left the class before the person came in the window. We were running around Rose Hill together but it looked like an amusement park, lots of people just wandering around and only some seemed to show they were scared. I remember thinking and telling Marie in the dream that it would be okay, Casey was telling me where to go where we’d be safe. That’s all I remember, but I remember feeling really frightened in the dream. Now that I’m thinking about it, it may be some kind of metaphor for graduation, which happens at the Rose Hill campus– that could explain all the people walking around and only some seemed “nervous” (the graduates…), so maybe this means we are all scared and nervous to graduate, but Casey will be watching over us and make sure we’re on good paths after graduation.
