“You Have Pretty Eyes”

I have too many memories of Casey to be able to say what my fondest was, but one I will never forget is how she used to say I had “pretty eyes.” I told her that her comment was appreciated but emasculated me, because I couldn’t have “pretty eyes.” I was a guy.

About Casey Feldman

Casey Feldman, 21, of Springfield, Pennsylvania, a senior at Fordham University Lincoln Center and an award-winning student journalist, was killed by a distracted driver on July 17, 2009 in Ocean City, N.J. She was 3/4 of the way across the street in a crosswalk during daylight hours when the driver failed to stop at the stop sign. He was looking down, reaching for his GPS.
