I have too many memories of Casey to be able to say what my fondest was, but one I will never forget is how she used to say I had “pretty eyes.” I told her that her comment was appreciated but emasculated me, because I couldn’t have “pretty eyes.” I was a guy. I told her I could have handsome eyes, or drop dead sexy eyes, but she disagreed and reinforced the idea that I had “pretty eyes” and they would look good on a woman…
