By Dianne Anderson (Casey’s mom)
My elderly parents would often spend weekends with us at our shore house and would be sitting on the front deck each morning watching those who were riding their bikes or out for a walk. When Casey woke up, she would go out on the deck to sit and talk to them. She would always ask them how they were doing. I still remember my mom being so appreciative of it and commenting when Casey was in high school, that “many kids her age would not be interested in the old people.” That was Casey, always making time for friends and family and being genuinely interested in what you had to say and how you were doing.
